How I work

A great website doesn’t design itself. Effective web design is an iterative and collaborative process based on a clear plan.

• Discuss your ideas

  Together we'll explore your objectives and what you need your website to do.

• Proposal

  Once I’m clear about your objectives I’ll develop a proposal with costs and deliverables for your project.

• Project plan

  Once you give the go-ahead I’ll develop a project plan so we are on the same page about who needs to do what and when.

• The creative process begins - site structure

  I'll produce a set of wireframes (outline sketches) for each page that show the exact structure and layout of the website.

• The creative process continues - design elements

  We’ll bounce some ideas around about things like content, fonts and colours so I can create a look and feel that’s right for you.

  Based on our conversations I'll produce examples of specific design elements that'll be integral to the finished website.

• Build

  Once the wireframes and design elements have been agreed I'll build the website. You'll have access to an online testing area so you can monitor progress during the build.

• Testing

  Your website will be thoroughly tested across a range of browsers and devices to ensure a consistent user experience.

• Training

  If you have a CMS I’ll teach you how to use it.

• Launch

  We’re there, your site goes live. We have lift-off!
